Held every last week of July, the Malaga and Guraman Festivals celebrate Buguey’s vibrant culture and abundant Malaga harvest. A key attraction is the Grilling of Malaga, where two (2) tons of this local delicacy are grilled in a record-breaking feat that has become a festival highlight. This event has not only gained popularity but also attracted stakeholders, leading to the establishment of a Cold Chain Facility to boost our fishery sector. This year, 2025, we are excited to take another leap forward with plans to develop a Malaga Hatchery.
